How to Remove Children's Tattoos
Children's tattoos are fun for pretend play, but the time ultimately comes when they have to be removed--before they have time to fade. Parents can use simple household products, such as baby oil and nail polish remover, to remove temporary tattoos.
Things You'll Need
- Baby oil
- Rubbing alcohol
- Nail polish remover
- Towel
- Washcloth
- Soap
Instructions
Clean the area that has the tattoo on it with a wet washcloth and soap, making sure to dry completely after washing. Soak the child's tattoo with baby oil for a few minutes, ensuring that the whole tattoo is covered. Wipe the area with a damp washcloth, removing all of the oil and tattoo, and then dry with a towel. The tattoo should be mostly or completely removed. Wash the skin again to rake off any remaining pieces of the tattoo, and then dry completely with a towel. Repeat the steps, replacing baby oil with nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol, if the first attempt didn't work.
