Games for Mothers & Daughters to Play
Playing with your daughter can be a rewarding and fun experience for both of you. You will be able to get a better understanding of what your daughter really enjoys and she will get to spend some time with Mommy. The kind of game you can play with your daughter all depends on her age. Her preferences will be made known to you after you start playing.

Outside
-
Outdoor games really work if you and your daughter are athletic. Most of these games can be enjoyed by daughters of all ages, except one: hopscotch. That game is reserved for toddlers and daughters in elementary school. If your daughter is involved in sports, focus on a game that involves her sport. If you have a basketball and a hoop, you both can play horse. Perhaps your daughter is a volleyball player. Throw a volleyball onto the roof of your house. While you and your daughter are on the ground, the ball will come rolling back. Whoever hits the volleyball back up to the roof gets a point.
Online
-
A common game for mothers and daughters to play online together is dress-up. You can pick from an assortment of hair styles, clothing and accessories for the mother figure in the game, and your daughter can pick how the little girl will be dressed. These games are geared toward daughters who are toddlers or in elementary school. If you have more than one computer in your home, each of you can use one and play a massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG). You both can create characters, and the characters can interact with one another in the game world. These types of games can easily be played with daughters who are in junior high or high school.
Get Closer
-
You can play some question games with your daughter that will allow the two of you to become closer. Write down 20 of the same questions on four sheets of paper. The questions should pertain to personalities and preferences. You each get two papers. Fill in one of the papers with the answers you would provide and the other paper with the answers you believe the other will provide. Then compare answers. If an answer you wrote for the other person matches what she wrote for herself, you get a point. Whoever has the most points at the end of the 20 questions wins. This will also allow you to learn more about each other and discuss each other's answers. This game should be played with a daughter who is in the later grades of elementary school and older.
Cleaning
-
You can transform cleaning into a game with your daughter. It will make the various chores fun for both of you and she will be more apt to help out. Take a string and lay it across the floor of your home, dividing the house in half. You get one half and she gets the other. Whoever cleans their half of the house first wins. As an incentive, you can exclude the bathroom from the division and the loser has to clean the bathroom. Or, the loser has to cook supper for the family. This game is best with daughters who are in the later grades of elementary school or older.
