Fun & Easy Children's Activities
Enjoying activities with your children can be some of the best time you spend with them. Making a point to spend time with your kids will be treasured not only by them but by you too. When trying to come up with fun and easy children's activities, consider what you would love to do together.

Have a Picnic Inside
-
Having a picnic inside is just as fun as going to the park to have one. Get out a blanket, paper plates, plastic cups and utensils. Make some hot dogs and buy some chips. Spread all of the food out and chow down. Once you're done, you can take the kids outdoors to play classic picnic games such as Frisbee, ball or whatever else they like to play.
Camp Out
-
You can do this indoors or outdoors. Make some s'mores inside with graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows. Take the combination and put it under your broiler. Have some other goodies available too. Then either lay out some sleeping bags or pitch a small tent. Tell ghost stories, watch a scary children's movie, or read books with your children. You can also play board games or make up your own. When it's time for bed, turn off the lights and enjoy sleeping on the floor. It may not be the most comfortable sleeping experience but it will be a memory that will be treasured forever.
Cook with Your Children
-
Cooking with your children is a great way to spend time with them and teach them about measurements. Baking cookies, brownies and a cake are some of the easiest ways to cook with them. Allow them to pour the ingredients into the bowl and mix the contents. When it's time to put the mixture onto the baking sheet or into a bowl, let them have a hand in that too. They can use one hand to hold the bowl or place the cookies on the baking sheet. They may spill some out of the bowl, but it's easy to clean up.
Art Time with Your Children
-
Children love to exercise their creativity. Buy some art supplies and sit with your children to make art. Some ideas you can do with them include finger paint, make a scrapbook page with photos and embellishments (such as glitter, pieces of construction paper, pasta pieces, buttons or anything else you find around the house) or draw a picture and have your children color it. Another idea is to gather objects such as coins, leaves or anything else that's flat, and place a piece of paper on top. Color on top of the object so you end up making an imprint. Whatever you choose to do, everyone will have fun creating beautiful pieces of art and sharing them with each other. They will also have a great sense of pride and enjoy the time spent with you.
