Instructions

  1. Hip Carry

    • 1

Put on the Deluxe Kindercoat without your baby carrier and leave the front zipper open. Locate the long, vertical zipper in the middle of the right side of the coat. The zipper is situated between the front zipper and the right side seam of the coat.

    • 2

Open the long, vertical zipper all the way to the top to open up the right section of the coat. The front section will separate in the middle from the side but remain attached at the bottom and top.

    • 3

Insert the extra panel into the new gap created by opening the zipper. Attach the zippers on either side of the extra panel then wrap bottom flap of the panel around the elastic cord on the bottom of the coat. Press the hook and loop tape strips together to secure the flap in place.

    • 4

Take off the Kindercoat and arrange your baby carrier on your right hip then put your baby inside. Put the Kindercoat back on over your baby carrier and leave the front zipper open.

    • 5

Unzip the extra panel zipper closest to the opening of the coat by 4 or 5 inches then pull the coat closed around your baby. The unzipped opening will allow your baby's head to fit through easily. Zip the front zipper closed to close the Kindercoat properly around your baby.

    • 6

Close the opening of the extra panel by pulling the zipper back up all the way. This will close the panel up all the way around your baby's neck.

    Front Carry

    • 7

Put your baby into your carrier in the front-wearing position and make sure she is safe and secure. Slip the Kindercoat onto your arms like a regular coat and leave it open in the front.

    • 8

Hold the extra panel in front of you and the baby with the lining facing toward you. The zippers on the outer, vertical edges of the panels should line up with the zippers on either side of the coat opening.

    • 9

Connect the left sides zippers of the panel and the coat together and zip it all the way up. Do the same with the right side zippers so the panel is completely attached to the coat. Your baby will be all covered up by the panel at this point.

    • 10

Locate the small, horizontal zipper just below the top of the extra panel and unzip it. This will separate the uppermost portion of the panel. Move the panel in front of your baby so it separates her face and your chest.

    • 11

Press the upper portion of the panel in place using the hook and loop tape strips. The strips are located along either vertical edge of the panel and secure onto the coordinating strips on the edges of the coat.

    Back Carry

    • 12

Put your baby in a back-wearing position in a baby carrier and hold the Kindercoat out in front of you. The back of the coat should be facing you so you can locate the back panel components.

    • 13

Pull open the horizontal row of snaps along the upper back of the coat then release the long, vertical zipper running perpendicularly downward from the ends of the snap row. The back panel opening is now widened and ready for use.

    • 14

Hold the coat up by the collar with the lining facing out and away from you while leaning forward slightly. Flip the coat up and backwards over your head so it falls onto your back the slip your arms through the sleeves.

    • 15

Stand up straight and allow the coat to settle naturally onto your baby. Your baby's head will slip right through the opening in the back panel when the coat settles down. Close the front zipper when the Kindercoat is sitting on your properly.
