How to Boil Medela Bottles
Like most baby bottles on the market, Medela bottles should be sanitized before use. This removes any foreign substances left on the bottles during packaging and shipping, ensuring a germ-free environment. If you don't own a bottle sanitizer, the best option is to boil your bottles.
Things You'll Need
- Large pot with lid
- Tongs
- Clean towels
Instructions
Fill a large pot with water and place the bottle and all bottle parts (nipples, rings, etc.) inside. Make sure the bottles are filled with water and submerged. Bring the water to a boil. Cover and let boil for 15 minutes. Remove the bottles and bottle accessories with a pair of tongs, placing them on clean towels. Air dry the bottles for one hour before use.
