How to Look Like a Rebel
Rebels are people who don't conform to the ways of others. Rebels, a primarily male term, stand out because there's something unique about them and they play up their differences. Since the term "rebel" to refer to individuals against society was particularly coined in the 1950s, dressing like a rebel from that period will make you stand out even more strikingly.
Instructions
Watch the movies "Grease" and "Dirty Dancing" to get an idea of both what rebels wear and how they act against the grain of the society around them. Notice how they think for themselves, make decisions based on their own moral compass and frequently risk being outcast by not playing it safe. Adopt these principles into your own life. Wear a black leather jacket. Get one that's torn or tattered in some way. It should be short, coming to the top of your pants, but no longer. Get a few "wife beater" shirts or white t-shirts with a round neck. Roll your cigarettes, if you smoke, into the sleeve of the t-shirt so that you don't lose them. This also makes it clear to everyone around you that you smoke and are proud of it. Cuff the bottom of your jeans and wear black shoes with white socks. Since it's particularly unfashionable to wear white socks with nicer black shoes, this will definitely make you stand out. Adopt a cause that you believe is worth fighting and dying for. The cause needs to bigger than your own emancipation from the constraints of society. Your own personal freedom should further your cause. Previous:How to Look Straight Edge
