Fun Games to Print Out for 13-Year-Olds

A 13-year-old may have an idea of fun that varies greatly from his parents', but that does not mean he would object to a fun activity his parents suggested. With some ingenuity and the help of the Internet, you can find a number of games that your adolescent would enjoy and likely play over and over again.

  1. Who Am I?

    • For this game, print out several pictures of celebrities, presidents and cartoon characters. Keep in mind that you will want to choose people that your 13-year-old would recognize. Glue or tape the printouts onto another piece of paper. Place the celebrities upside down and have each teenager grab one without looking to see who she has selected. Tape the picture face up to the forehead. Each player now walks up to the other players and asks questions about their mystery identity. The questions must be yes or no, such as "Am I a man?" or "Am I a singer?" The first person to correctly identify their own mystery identity wins the game.

    Sudoku

    • A fun game that promotes math skills is Sudoku. The objective of Sudoku is to fill each box in every column and row with numbers 1 through 9. Dr. Mike's Math Games for Kids site uses computer technology so that interested gamers may print off as many Sudoku puzzles as they want. The most allowed is 1,500, which is about the size of a 250-page Sudoku book.

    Paper Doll Fashion Show

    • Most girls love fashion and would love the opportunity to make up their own clothing line. A fun activity for teenage girls is to print out various outfits and put on a paper doll fashion show. Make sure that you have several paper doll models on which to model the outfits. Encourage your 13-year old and her friends to be creative. Break out the glitter and sticker jewels to give each outfit some extra sparkle.

    Paper Airplanes

    • Many teenage boys would enjoy the opportunity to build and model their own special aircraft, and with a quick printout guide, this dream is a reality. Popular Mechanics has downloadable printout guides for several top paper airplane instructions, including a "paperang" that functions like a boomerang. Some of the paper airplane models are meant to replicate actual airplanes, like the Falcon.
