How to Get Your Teen Out of Bed in the Morning
For many teens, waking up in the morning is the hardest task of the day. Most of the time, teens rely on their parents to act as their own personal alarm clock. But when the time comes, they often refuse to wake up. There are several ways for parents to get their teens out of bed in the morning.

Get a full night's sleep. The biggest problem for most teens is that they are too tired. Parents and teens should make it a goal to go to sleep at a decent hour, preferably before 10 p.m. Stop hitting the snooze button. This is a common problem with teens who use an actual alarm clock instead of their parents. The alarm goes off at 6 p.m. and the teen hits the snooze alarm before going back to sleep. Either use a clock without a snooze button or set the alarm for an earlier time so the teen will have more time to sleep if they want. Enforce the consequences of sleeping late. Let them receive a tardy notice at school or miss the bus to reinforce the need to get up on time. Keep a routine for your teenager. Teens should go to sleep and wake up up at the same time every day. Offer rewards for getting up on time as a last resort. For example, offer lunch money or let them use the car for the weekend if they get up on time all week.
