Wait before you announce. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, between 13 percent and 52 percent of pregnancies are lost within the first trimester. Where you fall into this percentage depends on your age. The older you are, the higher your risk. Hold off on your announcement to coworkers about your pregnancy until after this risky time. Most women do not start showing until after this time, so it will be easy to hide.

Give honor where honor is due. Announce to your superiors first before you tell your coworkers about your pregnancy. Tell them that you thought it was better to let them know first. They will respect you more, knowing that you held them in high esteem by putting them first. This is true even for those bosses that are hard to deal with.

Order pens and give them out. Order pens with your special message on them. A message, such as "Announcing the pregnancy of..." and put your name on it. Take these pens and hand them out. Your coworkers will wonder why you're handing them out. They will either ask you or read the pen. Okay, maybe not everyone will, but you can be sure that someone will and the message will spread through the office.

Have some fun. Discretely place on someone's desk a note that says, "One of your coworkers is pregnant. Can you guess who? Pass this note on." You'll have the whole office trying to guess who. You'll be on the sidelines smiling inside over the knowledge you have and the guessing their trying to figure out.

Wear a shirt or pin that makes the announcement for you. If permitted, wear a T-shirt to work that has your pregnancy announcement on it. If not permitted, try buying a large button that does the same thing. If buttons are not allowed, write "I'm Pregnant" and tape it to your tummy. It is easily removable, and once you announce your pregnancy to your coworkers, you can remove it.
