How to Read an Ept Pregnancy Test

When you think you may be pregnant and you need to know whether you are as soon as possible, the best course of action is to take a home pregnancy test. In the privacy of your own home, you can use a home pregnancy test and read the results in only a few minutes. One of the most popular brands of home pregnancy tests is the EPT Pregnancy Test. Make sure you understand how to read an EPT Pregnancy Test to ensure accurate results.

  • Clean cup for urine (optional)

      Open the package and remove the tester from the package immediately before using.

      Take off the cap and set it aside. Grasp the tester by the grip area on one end and hold it so that the other end faces down.

      Place the tip into a flow of urine for five seconds or into a cup of urine for 20 seconds. Always keep the tip facing down.

      Lay the tester onto a counter so that you can see the openings where the results will appear. Wait for approximately two minutes.

      Look for a "+" sign in the window if the results are positive and a "-" sign in the window if the results are negative.

    EPT Digital Test

      Open the package and remove the tester from the package. Take off the cap.

      Find the purple arrows on the tester and the test holder and align them with each other. Place the tester into the test holder and push until you feel a click.

      Place the tip into a flow of urine for between five and seven seconds or into a cup of urine for 15 seconds. Always keep the tip facing down.

      Hold the tester and look for a "Test Ready" indicator to flash approximately 30 seconds after removing the tip from the urine. Leave the tester in the test holder.

      Wait for three minutes and look to see either a "Pregnant" or a "Not Pregnant" message in the message opening.
