How to Know if You are Pregnant
A woman's body will send her signals that she's pregnant long before there's a baby bump. You can try to take a pregnancy test, but most manufacturers do not recommend this until your period is at least a day late.
Things You'll Need
- The possibility of being pregnant
Instructions
Implantation bleeding may very well be your first sign of pregnancy. This bleeding often occurs between six and 12 days after conception (around the time when you would be expecting your period). The embryo has attached itself to the uterine wall, and the result may be spotting and cramping. Your breasts may become tender or swollen as early as two weeks after conception. You may begin to feel overly tired as early as one week after conception. Women are often very fatigued during their first trimester of pregnancy due to hormonal changes and changes in blood pressure and blood sugar levels. Regular bouts of morning sickness, or a sense of nausea, can begin as early as two weeks after conception. Morning sickness can occur at any time. Newly pregnant women also tend to have headaches and back pain. Craving unusual foods isn't just a pregnancy myth -- it does happen. The hormonal changes in the first trimester trigger a change in what you want to eat. You may crave things you never thought much about, or feel repulsed by something you know you like.
