How to Calculate Weeks by Conception Date
Many women are confused by a doctor's determination of when their babies will be due. Trying to figure out the date of conception and the most accurate due date can be mind boggling. Due dates are primarily given as estimates of when the baby will be born. The majority of woman have their babies two weeks before or after the due date given by their doctors. This is primarily because of the fact that every woman has a different menstrual cycle. Even though most menstrual cycles last 28 days, some woman vary from cycle to cycle.
Instructions
Figure out the first day of your most current menstrual cycle. Doing this will help determine the most accurate date of conception. Take the first day of your last menstrual cycle and add 14 days. According to the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecology, woman who have a normal 28-day cycle will conceive on day 14. Take the day of conception and count up to the current date. This will give the accurate number of weeks pregnant by conception date.
