How to Set up Parental Controls on Comcast
To use comcast digital cable parental controls you need to first have Comcast. When you have an account with Comcast you will be able to access this feature and it does not cost anymore than what you are already paying. This will only work with comcast digital cable and not basic cable. Hit the menu button on your remote there will be an icon on the screen that looks like a lock go ahead and click on that. It will ask you to create a locks pin. Pick a four digit code using numbers and enter them using your remote control then hit enter. It is going to ask you again to verify the four numbers you picked and then confirm. Set up different locks in here; you can have a parental lock for anything. The different choices for locks available are TV and movie ratings if you do not want your child watching an 'R' movie you can put a lock on it. You can go through different channels and put locks on all of the available channels that you do not want your kids watching. Another feature for you to have is to decide if you want to show or hide all adult titles. Enter your four digit code when prompted if you click on a channel that is locked. This is all you have to do every time you want to watch a program that is parental controlled. Tired of having the parental controls set up or maybe your kids are gone for the weekend? You can erase all locks by going into locks set up click on master locks and choose the option that allows you to clear all locks. You can temporarily disable the locks too. This option will keep you from having to re -enter them all later.
