Using a baby gift registry such as Walmart's allows you to purchase the preferred brand of item in the desired style, size and color. The registry also indicates when a gift has been purchased, which helps prevent the duplication of gifts. Parents register their gift list with the retailer, and gift-givers can find the list online or in the store.

In-Store Baby Registry
Locate the gift registry kiosk. It is usually by the Customer Service Counter however this varies by location. Look for a counter-height stand with a monitor and keyboard. Ask an employee for assistance if help is needed. Enter the registrant̵7;s first name in the corresponding section using the keyboard at the gift registry kiosk. You will need to type at least the first letter in individual̵7;s name. Enter the registrant̵7;s last name in the corresponding section of the registry system. You will need to type at least the first two letters of the individual̵7;s surname. Enter the month and year of the registrant̵7;s baby shower, if applicable, using the respective drop-down menus in the registry system. Enter the name of the state in which the registrant lives in the corresponding section if you know this information. Click on ̶0;Find̶1; in the gift registry system. Look through the list of registrant names listed and click on the appropriate one. The next screen will show you a list of items the registrant wishes to receive. Online Registry
Go to Walmart.com on a device with Internet connection. Click on the word ̶0;Registry.̶1; Depending on the device you use to access the website, this word may be at the top or bottom of your screen. Click on the bubble next to the word ̶0;Baby̶1; in the ̶0;Find a Registry Section̶1; of the Walmart Gift Registry page. Enter the registrant̵7;s first name in the first text box. Enter the registrant̵7;s last name in the second textbox. Select the U.S. state in which the registrant lives from the drop-down menu if you know this information. Select the month and year if the registrant created the gift registry for a specific event, such as a baby shower. Look through the list of registrant names and click on the appropriate one to see the items listed on the baby gift registry.
