    • Bear Creek Pioneers Park has more than 2,100 acres. The park features a wildlife habitat and your kid will see peacocks and donkeys in addition to pigs.     Houston Fire Museum

    • The Houston Fire Museum opens at 10 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The entrance fee is $3 for adults and $2 for children and senior citizens. Activities include a tour of the facility and a visit to see antique fire vehicles. Your kid may participate in Watch Office̵2;an exhibit where he can observe what a 1950s fire call was like, according to the Houston Fire Museum website.

    Old MacDonald̵7;s Farm

    • Old MacDonald̵7;s Farm is 25 minutes from Houston in Humble. Visitors can take rides on the ponies or purchase feed to give to the other animals. Your child can also participate in seasonal activities such as swimming and visiting a pumpkin patch. Old Macdonald̵7;s Farm is open every day from the beginning of March to the end of October and on weekends during the rest of the year. Admission is $8 per person, but children under a year and a half are free.

    Children̵7;s Museum of Houston

    • Open daily, the Children̵7;s Museum of Houston charges less than $8 for admission. If your child is a fan of mythological creatures, take him to the Dragons and Fairies display or allow him to stop by the Cyber Chase exhibit if he watches the television program. A gift shop is inside the museum as well as a restaurant that offers kid classics such as corn dogs and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
