Long Island Day Trips for Kids
A part of New York state that's east of New York City, Long Island is made up of bustling towns, quaint villages and wide open spaces. Brooklyn and Queens are on the western end of the island, closer to the city. In the center of the island sits Nassau County, and the western end of Suffolk County and points east lie in Suffolk County. The farther west and the closer to the city you are, the more metropolitan Long Island is. The farther east you travel, the more open and rural the island becomes. No matter what part of the island you are living on or visiting, you can find engaging and entertaining activities for the kids.
