S'Mores
-
Make a quick and easy kid-friendly dessert called s'mores. These classic fireside-camping desserts can be easily made in your own kitchen. Take one graham cracker section and place a square of a Hershey milk chocolate on top. Place one large marshmallow on top of that, and microwave on a paper plate for 20 to 30 seconds. The marshmallow will puff up. Place another graham cracker section on top and serve warm.
To make a variation on the classic s'more, replace the chocolate with another type of candy bar like Butterfinger, Almond Joy or Snickers. Chop any large candy bar into pieces to fit on the graham cracker.
Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes
-
Purchase one box of a spice cake mix and one 15-oz. can of pureed pumpkin. In a large bowl, combine the spice cake mix, pumpkin, three large eggs, 1/3 cup of vegetable oil and 1/3 cup of water, and beat with a hand mixer for about one minute or until completely combined.
Pour into a greased muffin pan and bake in a pre-heated 350-degree Fahrenheit oven for about 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. Remove from oven and let cool.
Spread cream cheese icing on top and decorate with chocolate sprinkles.
Ice Cream Sandwich
-
With two store-bought chocolate chip cookies, ice cream and chocolate chips, you'll have a classic ice-cream-truck treat made right in your home. Place two chocolate chip cookies in the freezer for about two hours. Soften half a cup of vanilla ice cream on the counter until it is soft but not melted. Put about 1/4 cup of semisweet mini chocolate chips on a paper plate.
Take the chocolate chip cookies out of the freezer and spread the ice cream on one of the cookies. Press the other cookie on top of the other. Smooth the ice cream between sides of the two cookies smoothly with a knife. Roll the ice cream in the chocolate chips and wrap in saran wrap. Place the cookie sandwich in the freezer for at least two hours and serve frozen.
