Incentive Game Ideas
Incentive-based activities are an effective way to motivate people to participate in your organization's projects and get involved in group goals. Knowing that they will be rewarded can help employees complete tasks with more fervor, find the silver lining in a dreaded assignment or take the initiative to learn new skills.

Holiday Lottery
-
This will get you in the spirit. If you need to keep your place of business open on a holiday, reward those who step up to work. If you can't afford a financial bonus for every single employee---make things fun by offering a "grand prize" winner for each dreaded holiday. Put the names of everyone who works on the holiday into a hat and draw one. Double the winner's paycheck for the day.
Achievement Incentive
-
Everyone will want to climb the chart. In an office where employees are working toward similar goals, up the ante by keeping track of who is "valuable." Employees will enjoy watching their progress on a bulletin board, and will work harder with a promise of being rewarded for their efforts. Offer a bonus to the highest producer, or to get everyone working (instead of just competing) offer a bonus to anyone who reaches a specific sales level.
Reward Dirty Work
-
Someone has to clean it. Most offices have a job or two that no one really wants to do. Instead of creating friction by forcing some employees to take on these tasks, offer an incentive for those who step up to the plate to complete them. Offer gift certificates for employees to pamper themselves for completing "dirty work," whether it's tidying a company restroom or calling a difficult client.
Old Switcheroo
-
Don't let the boss for the day get out of control. Instead of giving a star employee the day off, hold a contest where employees compete to be "boss for the day." Take on that employee's job for the day. This will boost office morale as everyone will enjoy watching the boss perform 'less important tasks than usual. Agree in advance on what the "boss for the day" will be authorized to do during his time of power.
