Instructions

  1. How to make flash cards with pictures

    • 1

Draft a flash card template in a picture editing program such as Adobe Photoshop or GIMP. Word processing programs such as Microsoft Word come with existing templates. Set up the document size to match a page of cardstock.

    • 2

Design the pictures or graphics intended for the flash cards in a design program. Stock pictures can also be found online at a search engine, or Clip Art can be used on a word processor. Copy and paste the pictures separately onto each flash card.

    • 3

Before printing, set printer settings to print double sided documents. If this is not possible on your printer, you will have to turn the paper upside down to print the other side of graphics or text.

    • 4

Print out both the front and back of the flash cards on one page. Cut out the cards using scissors. Use a hobby knife on a cut resistant surface to reduce time. For a straighter line, use a small cutting board available at craft stores.

    • 5

Cover each flash card with a layer of clear packing tape to ensure lasting use and to protect cards from damage.
