The camps focus on improving the skill level of the campers and increasing their confidence all while having a good time. For over 12 years Canlan Ice Sports has been organizing hockey and sports camps for youths of all skill levels between the ages of 3 to 18 years. The hockey campers play at the River Cree Twin Rinks at River Cree Resort and are taught about proper techniques, skills and drills, sportsmanship and teamwork. The instructors are qualified and knowledgeable role models who create an action packed week. Some camps are for girls-only and some are for more advanced hockey players. Those registering for multiple sessions or who sign up multiple children get a discount. Registering for the available sessions can be done online.

Sylvan Lake/Jasper Summer Hockey Camp

Both the Sylvan Lake and Jasper camp locations provide the same program. The hockey camps focus on how to handle, shoot and pass the puck. The website for Sylvan Lake Hockey states that the skill level of campers increases as does their confidence. The sessions last a whole week and during that time campers sleep in a dorm room. Other activities campers can take part in include a river raft tour, hiking in Jasper, and water and beach fun in Sylvan Lake. The camper to counselor ratio is 6:1. Each week a maximum of 108 campers are accepted in the camp. There are also girls-only camps to choose from. An application form can be filled out online.
