How to Convert a Stroller From Single to Double

A stroller is one of the most important pieces of baby equipment new parents will purchase, since they will use it daily. When the second child comes along, so does the need for a double stroller. You can easily purchase a double stroller, but then have a single stroller you cannot use when toting two children. A better option is to convert your single stroller to a double one.

Things You'll Need

  • Two strollers
  • Three stroller connectors

Instructions

    • 1

Purchase an additional stroller. You need the two strollers to be similar sizes, so the connectors can line up properly.

    • 2

Purchase three stroller connectors, which are the heavy-duty plastic connectors that hold the strollers together. They clip on and off easily.

    • 3

Stand the strollers next to each other facing the same direction. Attach one connector just under the handlebars on one of the strollers and connect it to the next stroller. Attach the next connector just above the wheels on the two strollers. Attach the third connector somewhere between the other two. Since strollers vary greatly in their manufacturing, it depends on your particular strollers' construction where the last connector will fit.

Attach optional accessories to your newly created double stroller. Adding toy/pacifier tethers is important, so no one loses valuable items in transit. Add a cup holder for the one pushing the stroller.
