Evenflo Symphony Instructions
The Evenflo Symphony car seat is designed to ensure the safety of your child. CarSeats.org recommends that you avoid using a car seat that is more than 10 years old and and never use a car seat that has been involved in a crash. The Evenflo Symphony is designed to accommodate your infant through childhood; children between 5 and 65 pounds can be placed in the Symphony car seat. The car seats ensures your child's security with special SureLatches which secure the seat to the car's seat anchor.
Instructions
Push the lever on the right-front of the Evenflo Symphony car seat to recline it as far back as it will go. Place the Symphony on the seat. Never place the car seat in the front passenger seat. Face the Symphony toward the rear seat for infants between 5 and 35 pounds. Turn the car seat forward for children between 20 and 65 pounds. Pull the SureLatch connector from the storage clip on side of the car seat and attach it to the car's seat anchor. To access the seat anchor, push the tip of the SureLatch between the bottom and back of the seat until you reach a metal component that the anchor can latch onto. Make sure the belt attached to the anchor is not twisted and the anchor is upright. Remove the other SureLatch connector on the other side and attach it to a seat anchor as well. Look at the arrow located on the bottom side of the base. The arrow must be level. If not, place a small rolled towel or blanket under the front side of the base until the arrow is level. Push down on the Symphony car seat and move it from side-to-side to ensure that it is secure. Push the release button located on the front of the seat, which is in between your child's legs, and then pull the harness to adjust it to accommodate your child's size Unfasten the chest clip and buckles, and place your child into the seat. Bring each harness strap over his shoulders. Fasten the chest clip and buckles. Push the release button again, and pull the adjuster strap to tighten the harness or pull the harness straps out to loosen it if necessary. You must not be able to insert more than two fingers between your child and the harness strap when it is tightened correctly. Snap the chest clip together and slide it up to the child's armpit level.
