How to Use a Miracle Blanket
Coaxing a little one to sleep can be one of the most challenging aspects of parenting a new baby. With the ̶0;back to sleep̶1; campaign instituted by the American Academy of Pediatrics, many parents are embracing swaddling as an effective means to help babies sleep. If you choose to swaddle, experts with the AAP recommend that you stop the practice by the time your baby reaches 2 months of age. The Miracle Blanket is a special swaddling blanket that can help you swaddle your baby for sleep.

Instructions
Place the Miracle Blanket on a flat surface with the long edge of the triangle along the top and the point of the triangle on the bottom. Smooth out the Miracle Blanket neatly. You will find two flaps along the top edge and a pocket at the point of the triangle. Open the flaps so they lay flat. Lay your baby on the Miracle Blanket so his body lies between the two flaps and his shoulders are slightly higher than the top edge of the blanket. Place your baby̵7;s feet, legs and lower body into the pocket. Grasp the left flap and wrap it over your baby̵7;s arm. Tuck the flap under your baby̵7;s body neatly to ensure the flap has no wrinkles. Repeat the same process with the right flap to wrap your baby̵7;s other arm. Wrap the smaller, right corner of the blanket over your baby and tuck the end of the corner under your little one̵7;s armpit and behind his body. Wrapping in this way keeps the blanket away from your baby̵7;s face. Wrap the longer, left edge of the blanket over your baby and around to his backside. Continue wrapping to make a swaddle that is loose enough to fit your hand between the blanket and your baby̵7;s chest, yet not so loose that it unwraps, advises the AAP website. As you wrap, keep the blanket lower than shoulder height to ensure that the blanket does not touch your little one̵7;s face. The blanket contacting a baby̵7;s face could cause your baby to root, which might disturb him, cautions the Miracle Blanket website. Previous:No
