How to Find Evenflo Car Seat Recalls
Keeping abreast of the latest product recalls is important. It is especially vital when it comes to baby items, such as car seats and high chairs where manufacture defects could have serious consequences. Owners of Evenflo car seats can get product recall information from the company. You can also call the Evenflo help line and register your car seat for recall notices.
Instructions
Visit the official Evenflo Recalls web page (see References). Review the Recalls / Safety Campaigns list on the Product Support page to see if you own an Evenflo product included in a recall. For example, if you own a Maestro Car Seat, click the link to its recall page. Read the product recall information. Note the model numbers and manufacture dates affected by the recall. For example, the Maestro Car Seat recall in October 2010 affected models that start with the numbers "310," namely 3101198, 3101980, 31011048, 31011059 and 31011049 in the United States and 31011057C in Canada. These car seats were made between November 29, 2009 and April 9, 2010 (United States) and December 17, 2010 and April 26, 2010 (Canada). Follow the instructions for the Evenflo car seat recall. You may be asked to call Evenflo for a free reinforcement kit or replacement car seat and base. Or you may need to stop use of the product immediately. For example, Evenflo provided reinforcement kits for the Maestro Car Seat in the October 2010 recall and replacements for the Discovery Car Seat models 3021769Z and 3021854Z made in February 4, 2008. View the videos and instruction links if available. These resources demonstrate how to check your Evenflo car seat or install a reinforcement kit. Click the "Register" link to register your car seat for recall information.
