What Is There to Do on the Carnival Cruises for Teens?
Carnival Cruises offer plenty of activities for people of all ages -- including picky teenagers. In fact, there's plenty for teens to do onboard a Carnival cruise. Keep in mind that not all cruises might offer the same activities, as shorter cruises might have smaller ships and a reduced number of activities. Always check with the company at the time of booking to find out what's available and whether additional charges apply.

Watch a Movie
-
Most Carnival Cruises offer more than one movie option. One fun option is the Dive-In Movies, which is basically a big screen teens can watch while in the pool or relaxing on a poolside lounge chair. Then there's Carnival's Seaside Theater, an outdoor movie theater that shows not only movies but also major sport events. Finally, teens can head to the Thrill Theater, which offers 3-D short movies. And yes, popcorn is available -- and so are blankets in case you're watching a movie at night and the sea breeze is a bit cooler than expected.
Try Some Sporty Fun
-
For teens who would rather get moving, Carnival Cruises offer plenty of options too. Mini-golf and ping-pong tables are available on all cruises -- and so are jogging tracks that loop around the upper deck of the ship. Some cruises also have a SportSquare, which includes a ropes course, a basketball court, a small gym -- including elliptical and stationary bikes, weights and punching bags -- and a foosball or pool table.
Get Musical
-
Whether it's singing or watching others do it, Carnival Cruises offer plenty of options for teens who like music. In addition to piano bars and concerts, there's also the Star Live Karaoke, which allows guests to sing with a live band as a backup, or teens can try the general karaoke room, which offers the traditional screen singing using pre-recorded music. There are two special hangouts for teens onboard: Club O2 and Circle "C." Club 02 is for teens 15 to 17 and offers karaoke, video games, music and movies. Circle "C" is for teens 12 to 14 and offers games and outdoor movies, as well as a number of preset activities to help teens meet others of the same age.
More Fun Stuff
-
Some cruises offer Carnival WaterWorks, a waterpark featuring giant slides made to thrill. Others are home to "Hasbro, The Game Show," where teens can play live versions of famous games, such as Yahtzee Bowling and Simon Flash. All ships also offer stage shows aimed at the whole family, where teens can see dancers, acrobats and gymnasts. And if that's not enough, teens can also head to the Video Arcade, which is open 24 hours.
