How to Start a Youth Organization

Today's youth have a totally different perspective on life than the older generation. But sometimes our young people need a bit of help in making positive choices and real-life decisions. That's where you come in. In starting a youth organization, you can help educate, encourage and elevate our young men and women.

      Organize a group of people who share your vision. Begin to have meetings and discuss the impact and scope of your organization. Research local, state and federal agencies that can assist you in registering and/or filing the necessary paperwork. Stay focused!

      Look for meeting places. Try your church, or ask other business owners about using space for youth meetings. Remain encouraged.

      Look for avenues where fundraising may be an option.

      Get the word out! Let others know all about your goals!
