How to Host a Tea Party for Teenagers
Teenagers like to have fun with their friends. This is why the two terms, teenagers and party, go almost hand in hand. If you are throwing a tea party for a bunch of teens, don't worry -- it's not that difficult. There are, however, a few basics you shouldn't forget if you want your party to be a success.
Instructions
Choose a location. This is the first step to planning any kind of party. Weather allowing, you can have your tea party in the garden or in a park. If it's cold or rainy outside, you can have it around the dining table or put a blanket on the floor in the living room and pretend to have an indoor picnic. Make a list of guests. You need to know how many people will attend this tea party before you start buying food and drinks, so you wont end up getting too little or too much. Invite three to five guests and ask them to RSVP by a certain date. This will give you time to stock up. Get a selection of food and teabags. Various flavors of tea, including herbal and decaffeinated, will give your guests a choice. Put the teabags on a plate in the middle of the table. Get cookies and other pastries that complement tea. You can also serve sandwiches. Decide on a theme; there is no rule that says a tea party can't have one. For example, you can ask everyone to wear hats or ask your guests to dress nicely. Select appropriate background music. Teenagers love their music and it's a good idea to prepare different types in advance so you will be able to adapt the music to the atmosphere of the day. Create a playlist that includes current hits as well as background music, possibly classical. Previous:Teen Girl Sleepover Ideas
