Capture the Flag

• The classic game of capture the flag is always fun for teenagers to play. Gather two groups of teens of three or more people. Divide the space where you are playing into team territories. Take two brightly colored flags and plant one flag on each team territory. The first team to capture the flag of the other team and bring the flag back to their territory wins the game. If team members are captured on the other team̵7;s territory, the team member is out of the game.

Frisbee Golf

• A fun combination of golf and Frisbee is Frisbee Golf. Create a golf course outside, by using various trees and shrubs as ̶0;holes,̶1; with the last hole being a basket, and give each player a Frisbee. To play, each player flings his Frisbee toward the first hole. The players gradually progress down the course, always throwing from the last spot their Frisbee landed. The first player to fling his Frisbee in the basket wins the game.

Tug-of-War

• Tug-of-war is a classic game that is still played today. Take a large group of kids, and split them into two separate groups. On soft ground, such as grass or sand, line the teens up in a single file with the two teams facing each other. Place a marker on the ground in the middle of the teams, such as a line in the sand or a separate rope on the grass. Take a large rope, and instruct each team member to hold the rope, with the teens at the front on either side of the marker. On go, each team pulls as hard as they can. The first team to pull a member of the opposing team over the marker wins the game.

Wink

• Instruct the teens to sit on the ground in a circle. Designate one teen as a winker, and instruct the winker to stand in the middle of the circle. Every second teen is a catcher, and the remaining teens are runners. To play the game, the winker walks around in the circle, maintaining eye contact with the runners. At the signal, which is a wink, the runner tries to run one full lap around the circle without the catcher to his left catching him. Whoever wins the round, the runner or catcher, takes the place of the winker and the game resets.
