Places for Teens to Go in Cuyahoga Falls ,Ohio

As a suburb of both Akron and Cleveland, the town of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, is in close proximity to a lot of city attractions while maintaining a small-town atmosphere. Its name is derived from the scenic Cuyahoga River that snakes through town. The area is also home to a series of picturesque waterfalls. Teens will find many excellent hangout places in and around Cuyohoga Falls.

  1. Fun Centers

    • Teenagers aren't too old to putt around on a mini golf course or play a few rounds at the bowling alley. The Downview Sports Center provides an 18-hole miniature golf course, a driving range for the serious golfers, batting cages and a skate park. Just five miles from Cuyahoga Falls in Stow, you will find the Sto-Kent Family Entertainment Center. It features cosmic thunder bowling, a glow-bowling event with loud music and special effects, miniature golf, youth beach volleyball tournaments, the popular game of cornhole and lots of food options.

    Outdoor Fun

    • During the winter, your teens can head out to the Outdoor Ice Rink at Falls River Square. Here they can enjoy the open ice skating venue with friends and grab a bite to eat at the concession stand. Ten miles to the west of Cuyahoga Falls you will find a wilderness oasis at the Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Brecksville. Teens can hike or bike through the trails that wind along the river, providing an excellent natural environment. Water Works Park may also be an ideal choice for teens as it has sports fields, bocce ball, horseshoe pits, a fitness trail and fishing spots.

    • On those hot days, teens can find a few places to cool off and splash around. The Water Works Aquatic Center features a 158-foot enclosed tube slide, a 151-foot open-body slide, a lazy river, flume slides, a lap pool, plenty of shade areas, concessions, lockers, lounge chairs and sandy space. The Natatorium Aquatic Center is an indoor option providing three swimming pools complete with diving boards, water slides and jet-propelled lap lanes.

    Music and Performing Arts

    • The Blossom Music Center is an outdoor music venue attracting world-famous musicians and festivals throughout the summer. It features a large stage, vast lawn space for seating, a restaurant and beautiful gardens. Teens would not want to pass up some of the artists who take the stage at this famous amphitheater. Only four miles from Cuyahoga Falls in Akron is the Weathervane Playhouse. It is a live theater facility featuring regular shows of well-known stories and movies. Teens can even get in on the act by auditioning for a part, taking an acting workshop or being a part of designing and producing a live performance on the main stage.
