Boot camps for teens provide a structured schedule including activity, community service and life coping skills. Certain facilities provide a structured experience to both regular and at-risk teens and their families through intense training and and strict schedules, sometimes using military techniques. Programs range in format, length and intensity, allowing for a variety of options to suit the needs of the participants and their family.

  1. Rawhide Boys' Ranch

    • Rawhide Boys' Ranch (known for its auto donation program and support by NFL legend Bart Starr) is located in New London, Wisconsin. Rawhide offers programs for at-risk teenage boys ages 13 through 19 and will accept campers on either a court-ordered or voluntary basis. Military style programs include 120- to 180-day options and focus on moral values, integrity, honor, courage, self-discipline, hard work, loyalty and selfless service. Students participate in community service, physical training, counseling, academics and moral training. In addition to the military style programs, Rawhide also offers standard residential care, a private residential program, a transitional group home, treatment for foster care, alternative schooling or counseling services. Teen campers ages 14 to 16 are welcome to participate in a five-year long Leadership Training Program focused on developing leadership, communication and community living skills through activities in Chicago and at camp. The Leadership Training Program requires youth involvement each month, as well as a week stay at camp over the summer.
