Instructions for Diaper Genie II
Avoid the offensive smell of dirty diapers by containing them within the Diaper Genie II system. Playtex, a leading manufacturer of baby products, has created an airtight locking system to contain diapers after changing. Scented refill packs allow several diapers to remain in the system for a period of time without the smell of diapers lingering in the air. Playtex has designed the system to make setup and refill changing a simple procedure that takes just minutes.
Instructions
Remove the Diaper Genie II from the package and set it on a flat surface. Remove the lid from the top of the Diaper Genie. Remove the plastic seal on the refill by pulling the plastic tab. Hold the refill in one hand and use the other hand to pull out 18 inches of film. Tie a secure knot at the bottom of the film. Insert the refill into the Diaper Genie II and use your hand to press through the refill, to push the knot through the interior clamp. Close the top lid, which is secure once you hear a snapping sound, and the Genie is ready to use. Place a used diaper into the Genie by opening the lid and inserting the diaper into the top of the refill. Press the diaper down and through the clamp. Close the lid; it is now ready for the next diaper. Empty the Genie by pressing the release button. The button is located near the lower left side of the Genie. The Genie should be emptied as soon as it becomes difficult to press diapers into the clamp. Pull the bag of diapers out and slide the end through the cutter. The cutter is located in the back of the interior of the Diaper Genie, slightly lower than the clamp. The cutter is childproof and is made to only cut the film of the refill. Tie a knot at both ends of the bag so the diapers are contained. Dispose of the diapers in the trash. Pull another 18 inches of film from the refill or replace the refill if necessary.
