Boot Camps for Kids in Michigan

Unfortunately, sometimes even the most diligent of parents can end up with a troubled teenage child. Boot camps can help instill in a child self discipline, a sense of honor and respect for his fellow man. These programs emphasize learning how to work as team and being able to cooperate with other people.

  1. Midcourse Correction Challenge Camp

    • Located at Covenant Hills Camp in Otisville, Michigan, the Challenge Camp Weekend is an intense, 46-hour training for children ages 11 to 17 that has daily calisthenics, teamwork initiatives, work projects and high-adventure rope courses. The program is two nights with 24-hour supervision by camp counselors. They provide six meals that start with Friday dinner and end with Sunday lunch. There is even a two-hour parenting help session on Sunday prior to the child's graduation from the program. As of September 5, 2010, the cost is $425 per camper per weekend. A signed permission slip and medical form for the child is required to be turned in five days before camp starts.
