Nickelodeon's Parents Connect website named Youth Education the best day camp in Salt Lake City. Youth Education holds dozens of classes for children ages 4 through 17. They can explore wilderness survival training, organic gardening and cooking, filmmaking, opera, fencing and much more. Each class is categorized by age group and may last anywhere from a couple of days to a week.

Ogden Nature Center

The Ogden Nature Center is a nature preserve and educational center in Ogden, Utah. During the summer it holds weeklong day camps and one-day adventures for children ages 2 through 13. Each camp is centered on a specific nature theme. For example, attendees can learn about reptiles, wilderness survival, insects and more. Some of the weeklong camps even include an overnight stay at the Center.

Wasatch Kids Camps

Children who attend Wasatch are grouped according to age. If your child is between the ages of 5 and 8, they're in the Trailblazer group. Nine- to 13-year-olds are called the Explorers. Each week there's a new theme for each camp group. For example, they have Under the Sea, Going Green and Hide and Seek weeks. Scholarships are available and will be based on your family's annual income as well as other financial circumstances.
