Save yourself the headache of trying to get it fixed by following these simple lid repair instructions.
Things You'll Need
- Phillips-head screwdriver
Instructions
Remove the bag from your Diaper Genie II System. Hold down the gray button labelled “Diaper Genie II” while lifting up the top half of the Genie. Sit the Diaper Genie firmly on the floor with the top half open. Locate the cutter inside the Genie. Remove the two Phillips-head screws from the panel directly below the cutter and set aside. Remove the panel and set aside. Locate the diaper trap doors. Move the misaligned trap doors back into their proper place, gently but firmly. They should move smoothly in a crescent-shaped track, hitting the mechanism that opens the lid. Check to make sure the lid mechanism is still connected. Replace the panel and screws. Tighten the screws.
