How to Encourage Parent Involvement
Parental participation involves ̶0;the participation of parents in regular, two-way, meaningful communication involving students' academic learning and other school activities," according to the U.S. Department of Education. Parental involvement plays a fundamental role in a child's academic success. Good teachers perform outreach in an attempt to engage parents, and strive to establish parent-teacher programs geared to make parents feel comfortable and welcome in their children̵7;s educational experience.
