Exhilarating Activities

• At iFly Indoor Skydiving, an indoor vertical wind tunnel enables visitors age 3 and older to experience the thrill of skydiving without actually jumping from a plane. Pole Position Raceway gives you an opportunity to feel like you are a real race car driver, as you make your way around the large indoor track in state-of-the-art go karts. At Canyons Rock Climbing, you can go for a climb or sign up for lessons. Climbing camps for kids are scheduled throughout the summer. Children age 5 to 14 may participate three-day or five-day camps, but they may also go for a single day. Other programs for children include Kids Climb, for ages 6 to 12, and an afterschool program for ages 6 to 14.

Educational Activities

• Your family can learn something while having fun at the Sci-Tech Discovery Center. Since 2004, this learning center has been inspiring children and families to discover and explore math, science and technology. Permanent exhibits include Coordination Station, Nano and Bodies in Balance. Special events are held throughout the year and include story times and camps. The Frisco location of the Museum of the American Railroad was under construction as of the date of publication, but walking tours were still available. Knowledgeable guides explain how the railroads have helped shape America. The Frisco Heritage Museum provides a history of the city and how it came to be a booming economic center. Exhibits change periodically and include old photographs and local artifacts.

Family Fun Centers

• At Strikz, where you'll find laser tag, traditional bowling, billiards, arcade games and cosmic bowling. At Main Event Entertainment, your kids can enjoy rock climbing, bowling, billiards, karaoke, bocce ball, laser tag, mini golf, arcade games and gravity ropes. The gravity ropes attraction hangs above the others and is a fun way for your family to work together as a team to complete the course.

Parks and Recreation Activities

• The Frisco Parks and Recreation Department offers a large variety of family fun activities at the Frisco Athletic Center. The 100,000-square-foot facility includes two gyms; a youth zone with game systems, shuffle board, air hockey and a Foosball tables; and an indoor and outdoor aquatic center, which features a current channel, water slides and children's water play structures. Families can also participate in art programs, sports, camps, dances, holiday celebrations and festivals.
