How to Create Free Fun Coupons
Kids get frustrated around the holidays or before big parties because they have no money with which to buy gifts. Create fun coupons instead. As long as you have word-processing software and a printer, you can make great-looking coupons.

Instructions
Use coupons as rewards for jobs well done, such as for washing the dishes for a week, giving a 30-minute back rub, raking all the leaves from the front yard, administering a 20-minute foot rub or offering babysitting services. Coupons can also be given for making a homemade dinner of someone's choice, washing the windows, mopping the floor, making the bed, changing the oil, washing the car, cleaning a room and even cutting a person's hair. Look around at a few coupons in the weekly newspaper. They will give you ideas for layout and fonts to use. Choose one or two to use as templates. Open a word-processing program such as Microsoft Word. Design the page so that you can print several coupons on one page. Type in the name of your coupon with a large font and center it on the page. Add some clip art using the "Insert" menu. List what is included in the coupon, as well as any expiration dates in smaller print. Proof the coupon for any errors by enlarging it on your screen and have someone else edit it as well. Print out the coupons. Cut out the coupon and slide it into an envelope. Decorate the envelope for a festive look. Present the coupon at the gift-giving time of the holiday or celebration.
