How to Make Money When You're a Kid, Money and Kids
It's common for children to crave the idea of making money! Kids often have a list of things in which they want to buy or save for, yet they have no way to earn money. Or do they? Some parents believe in an allowance for kids, some don't. However; there are several different options for kids and young teens to earn and save money.
Instructions
First off, if you believe that your child should contribute by doing chores, without earning an allowance, try offering another option. Aside from their regular chores, offer them some extra jobs that need done in or outside of the home. I'm sure there is an old cabinet that needs cleaned and organized, or some weeds that need pulled. This is a great way for children to learn that they must work for their money, and once they earn their allowance, they will be more likely to appreciate it, if they have work for it. Second off, offer to help your child create flyers to post on neighborhood bulletin boards or hand out to their close neighbors. Depending on the chid's age, responsibility level or experience, they can choose to offer one of these 3 services. Animal Watching - Walk dogs, clean up after outside farm animals, or feed animals while families are away on trips. Babysitting - Baby-sit children while parents go on dates etc. . Lastly, keep in mind that there are many ways for kids to make money and learn how to work for what they want in life. It's a great way to teach them responsibility and how to appreciate what they have, once they get it.
