Cute Kid's Snack Ideas
Snacks are an important part of kids' diets. Keeping snack time fresh and interesting can be a lot of fun, especially if you encourage kids to have a part in creating snacks once they are old enough to do so.

Strawberry Mice

This sweet and healthy snack requires strawberries large enough to decorate. Cut a small slice from one side of each strawberry so each one sits flat and balances on its side. Using the narrow end of the strawberry as the face, press a small chocolate chip at the tip for a nose. If necessary, use a dab of icing to help the chocolate chip stick. Use two small dots of icing for eyes and almond slivers for ears. Use a toothpick to make a small hole in the back of the strawberry. Insert a licorice lace into the hole for the tail. Make the scene complete by serving the mice with small wedges of cheese.
Healthy Hearts

Seedless watermelon works best for this healthy snack. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut watermelon at least one inch thick. Create an arrow for each heart by sliding a wooden kitchen skewer from one side of each heart through the other. Finish the arrows by cutting tips and tails out of oranges or other fruit.
Tie-Dyed Cupcakes

Bake cupcakes according to recipe or package directions. Once cupcakes have cooled completely, frost each with 2 tbsp. of whipped fluffy white frosting. Use various colors of cake decorating gel to make circles of color from the center to the edge. Drag a toothpick through the colors from the edge to the center all the way around the cupcake to create a tie-dyed effect.
