Indoor Water Games for Kids
If your kids love any activities involving water, you probably spend most of your time in the swimming pool or in the sprinkler. When the weather doesn&'t cooperate, however, you can still cater to your kids&' penchant for water games. Just keep the water indoors and try to keep the splashing to a minimum.

Spray Bottle Tag

For this game, you&'ll need a large room and at least three children. Instead of playing a game of regular tag, introduce the youngsters to a game of spray bottle tag. The child who is "it" gets a spray bottle and can "tag" other people by catching with a sudden spray.
Bath Play

The bathtub is probably the most obvious place for an indoor water game, and you can be creative about how you use it. Dress your kids in bathing suits and let them play make believe games in the tub with any little plastic toys (without batteries or mechanical parts). Alternatively, let them paint the walls of the tub with shaving cream, maybe even adding food coloring for a bit of extra color. It will wash off easily after they&'re done.
Racing Boats

If you have a large tub that you can fill with water and a tile floor, you may be adventurous enough to let your kids race boats. Take two toy boats or create two paper boats, and see which kid can win a blow-them-across-the-water race. Alternatively, let them build their own boats out of objects around the house, and encourage them to think of a way to power them. They might decide to use balloons or wind-up toys.
