Look Up and Down
-
Have all youth group members stand in a circle. The leader then tells the students to look down. When the leader says "look up" the students must find another student to look at. If two students end up looking at each other, they must scream or say a saying that the leader decides. This is a game of elimination. When two students scream, they are eliminated. Play continues until only one student remains.
River Bank
-
Draw a dividing line on the floor somewhere, or use a natural division line such as a carpet seam or a sidewalk. One side of the line is a river and the other side of the line is the river bank. The leader says "bank" or "river" and then the youth group students must move to the correct side. The leader can say each word multiple times in a row. Students have five seconds to get to the correct side or they are eliminated. Last student standing wins.
Balloon Cover
-
Divide the players into groups of five. Have the students select a student and wrap him in tape with the sticky side facing out. The leader sets a timer for five minutes. The other team members must then blow up balloons and stick them to the tape as fast as possible. The team with the most balloons on the tape at the end of the time limit wins.
Candy Hunt
-
Ahead of time purchase enough candy bars for the entire youth group. Purchase four of each kind of candy. Mix up the candy randomly, then tape a candy bar to the bottom of each seat. Have the students sit in the seats. At the start of the game, each student removes the candy from the bottom of the seat and then finds the other people with that same candy bar. The first group to find all members is the winning group.
Human Maze

This game works best for large groups. Two people play this game at a time while the others are props. Take turns playing until everyone has had a turn. One player is blindfolded and must leave the room. The other person arranges the remaining people into a maze with a three minute time limit.
