Volunteer Work

For older children and young teens, the Youth Volunteer Corps of Muskogee runs a Summer of Service program where kids have the opportunity to give back to their community as volunteers. Participants who complete 100 hours of service can receive a $500 education credit. "It's more than about the education credit though,"program director Eileen Krik told the Muskogee Phoenix, "It's skill-building, so they actually can have things for National Honors Society, job resumes and learn skills."
