In Los Angeles, it seems there's always a new child star waiting in the wings. If your children are interested in acting, consider enrolling them in an acting program during the summer.
The Young Actors Studio in Los Angeles offers a summer program in July and August for kids ages 7-12 that is geared towards teaching children acting skills in a supportive environment. Kids in the program are not only given the opportunity to perform on stage, but are able to get some experience in front of the camera as well.
The studio offers two different types of programs, one for acting technique, and the other for scene study and production. The acting technique program helps students develop their acting technique, and the scene study and production program gives kids the chance to perform and work on an original production at the studio.
