Twist Backflip Games
Planning a children̵7;s birthday party can present a challenge for even the most creative parent. Including a game that keeps kids entertained and engaged helps keep their interest and make the event more entertaining. A game that involves full body activity, such as a Twister game or a back flip competition, adds that extra spark to the festivities.

Twister Games
-
The most classic of all the games requiring physical flexibility and ingenuity, Twister (hasbro.com/games/en_US/twister/) uses a plastic mat with large colored circles on it. For each turn, the play spins a spinner that indicates whether they should put their right hand, left hand, right foot, or left foot on a specific colored circle. Players keep spinning and playing until they fall down. The person who remains standing wins that round of the game. This game lets children stretch and flex across a plastic mat until someone finally falls.
Gymnastic Flips
-
Kids can do gymnastics just about anywhere, as long as they have a soft mat and adult supervision. The first step is to find a flat area to lay out the mats. Once the mats are in place, kids can start a competition to see who can do the best back flip. First, they should pick the judges. Next, they need to line up on the mat, leaving at least five feet of space between each of them. Starting from a standing position, kids can swing their arms high above their head behind them and use the force of their bodies to flip them backwards. Judge can call out their grades on a scale of 1 to 10. The one with the highest mark wins.
Trampoline Tricks
-
Trampolines offer hours of fun for everyone. Kids can jump as high as they want, twisting left and right; and they can practice back flips, front flips, and belly flops, all while bouncing in the air. One popular game is Trampoline Dodgeball. Two teams face each other around the edges of the trampoline. Each player starts with a ball of their own. Players throw their balls at opposing team member who jump and twist around to avoid being touched by the opposition̵7;s ball. Whenever an opponent̵7;s ball touches someone̵7;s body directly, they̵7;re out and have to leave the game. Players continue jumping and twisting until someone wins.
Water Sports
-
Probably the safest and easiest place to play twist and back flip games is at the local pool. The water cushions the fall and fights gravity. Starting at the back end of the diving board, kids can run forward as fast as they can, jumping high on the end of the board to give them leverage. They can go for a twist or for a twist that turns into a back flip. As with the gymnastic games, judges can decide who did the best one.
