How to Find a Person With Satellite
Not very long ago, finding people with satellite technology required costly hardware and software, which was not affordable for all. Nowadays, almost all the cellular service providers offer complete solutions such as GPS (Global Positioning Systems) enabled phones and wireless Internet services. A wireless connection complements the cellular grid and offers additional conduits for information on a person’s location. The only requirement is that the other person must have a tracking application enabled on his cell phone at all times.
Instructions
Make sure the person’s cell phone is connected to a wireless network. A cell phone may have GPS but it won’t be able to tell location unless it is connected to a wireless network. These wireless networks are primarily operated by cell phone carriers like T Mobile, Cingular, AT&T, Sprint and Nextel. Register the person’s cell phone with a website like AccuTracking, a full featured low-cost Location Based Service (LBS). The website’s primary concern is to locate the person&'s cell phone and monitor through satellite information such as how fast he is driving. Before the website gives you this information, you will need to ensure that the software is installed on the other person’s cell phone. The software is available for download from the AccuTracking website. Once you register, you can log in to the website and get information about the person’s whereabouts. Install Mapquest Find Me on the person’s cell phone. Mapquest Find Me will allow you to view the person’s location on a map, and view his location history. Mapquest offers a web interface for handsets like PDAs and other cell phone models. Use Sprint’s Mobile Locator, in conjunction with Nextel&'s GPS service and calling plan. This service will allow you to see and monitor the person’s location in real-time on a zoomable online map. You will be able to view the location history of the person.
