How to Assemble a Pack 'N Play

Assembling a portable crib such as a Pack 'N Play must be done with great care to keep the infant or toddler who will sleep inside it safe. If it the assembly is not done properly, the bed could collapse or pinch the hands of the child inside it. Assembling your Pack 'N Play is a simple step-by-step experience that will ensure safety for your baby and peace of mind for you.

Instructions

    • 1

Unzip the cover, and remove the folded-up bed. Put the cover away for storage. It will not be needed again until it's time to put the bed away.

    • 2

Remove the inner mattress, which is attached around the bed frame with Velcro. Put it to the side until the bed frame is assembled.

    • 3

Allow the legs of your Pack 'N Play to fall loosely to the side, and press the knob locking mechanism. This is found in the center of the sleeping area, and all of the outer frame attaches to it. Press the knob down to the bottom of the crib until it snaps the bottom frame into place.

    • 4

Snap each of the four top-rail bars into a locked position by lifting the hinge found in the center section of each bar until it pops into the locked position. If it does not lock easily, pulling the hinge up quickly will help. When each bar is snapped into place correctly, the bed frame will not wiggle, and the top-rail bars will not move from left to right.

    • 5

Place the inner mattress, which you put aside in Step 1, into the bottom of the bed.
