While you will purchase your Evenflo car seat fully assembled, there are a few minor assembly procedures needed to install the car seat. You also need to take proper care of the car seat, as suggested by Evenflo, to ensure it lasts for as long as your child needs it.

      Flip the Evenflo car seat over to access the shoulder strap plate. Thread the shoulder straps from the front through the slots at the top of the car seat and hook them onto the plate so that the straps are at or below your child's shoulders. This could take some trial and error.

      Put the car seat in place in the back seat of your vehicle. Do not put it in the front seat. If you have an infant, face the seat backward. Otherwise, face it forward.

      Secure the Evenflo car seat with the seat belts in your vehicle. Lift up the pads on either side of the Evenflo car seat to see where to put the seatbelt through. Thread it through the first opening, underneath the seat and through the other side. Buckle the seat belt. The seat is now ready for your child.

      Use a damp cloth to wipe down the Evenflo car seat as needed. For sticky stains, you can use mild detergent.

      Wash the washable pad of the Evenflo car seat on the gentle cycle of your washing machine again using mild detergent only.

      Make sure the car seat is completely dry before putting your child in it. Allow the washable pad to air-dry after washing.
