How to Put a Snug Ride Car Seat Cover Back Together
Infants can make very big messes, from spit up to diaper failure. If you have a Graco Snugride infant car seat, chances are at one point in time you will need to remove the cover for cleaning. After a thorough cleaning, correctly putting the car seat cover back onto your Snugride care seat is essential to ensure the safety of the infant.
Instructions
Thread the harness straps through the bottom slots on the car seat cover. You will thread one strap through the slot on the bottom left and the other strap through the slot on the bottom right of the cover Push the buckle through the middle slot on the bottom of the car seat cover. Thread the buckle tongues--the part that snaps into the buckle--onto the harness straps. The buckle tongues should face inward. Replace the harness clips onto the straps with the male and female ends of the clips facing each other. Test the buckle tongues and harness clip on the straps to make sure they properly fit together before proceeding. Thread the harness straps through the slots on the back of the cover appropriate for your child̵7;s size. In general, the slots should sit 1-inch below the child̵7;s shoulders while in the seat. Push the straps through the corresponding slots in the back of the seat. Flip the seat over and pull the straps through the slots, thread the straps behind the owner̵7;s manual pocket. Attach the looped end of the strap to the metal junction plate located at the base of the seat. The junction plate resembles an upside down crescent with arms on either side for the loop to be slid onto. Make sure the loop is on the arm of the junction plate fully and will not slide off. Turn the seat back over and pull on the straps to ensure a secure fit. Fit the cover back over the car seat.
