How to Assemble a Graco Pack & Play

Parents use Graco Pack & Plays for their ease of use and portability. In addition, these play yards are versatile and cheaper than most cribs. While accessories vary, most models can be assembled to use as a play yard or sleeping area for a larger baby, or with a bassinet attachment for a newborn. Properly assembling your Graco Pack & Play can ensure your baby's safety. Refer to your owner's manual for model-specific instructions.

Things You'll Need

  • Pack &Play
  • Owner's manual
  • Bassinet insert, if desired

Instructions

  1. Assembling the Play Yard

    • 1

Place the folded play yard right side up. At this point, the sleeping or playing mat should be separate. Unfold the rails, but do not snap the bottom in place yet.

    • 2

Lock all four rails. You will know that the rails are securely locked when you hear a snap and the rails are rigid. If you can't get the rails to snap, pull the center of the play yard's floor higher.

    • 3

Place one hand on one of the rails and push down on the center of the play yard's floor. Push it all the way down so that the surface is flat.

    • 4

Place the mattress---soft side up---into the play yard. Locate two straps under the mattress pad. Slide these straps through button holes on the bottom of the play yard and fasten.

    Assembling the Bassinet

    • 5

Repeat steps one through three from section one to assemble the base of the Pack & Play. Slide both long tubes into the two short sides of the bassinet attachment. Place the attached tubes into their slots on the two short sides of the Pack & Play. This will hold the bassinet up.

    • 6

Slide the two short tubes inside their sleeves on the bassinet attachment.

    • 7

Place the mattress pad inside the bassinet attachment.
