Instructions for Graco Car Seats

Graco manufactures a number of different types of car seats for children of all sizes and ages. Infant seats are recommended for babies weighing from 5 to 22 pounds or up to 35 pounds, depending on the model of Graco seat. Many convertible car seats can also be used rear-facing for babies weighing as little as five pounds, and some Graco convertible seats allow you to keep your child rear-facing well beyond the one year minimum, with a maximum rear-facing weight of 40 pounds. Convertible car seats also can be secured in a forward-facing position for older toddlers and children. While many car seats have a maximum weight of 40 pounds for use of the harness, the Graco My Ride 65 allows you to keep your child forward-facing in a five-point harness until she weighs 65 pounds. All Graco child-safety seats come equipped with Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH) belts for installation. This system of belt straps with hooks on the ends and corresponding secure anchors in the seats of vehicles was developed to make installing child safety seats easier and with less chance of error.
